





OUR MISSION
To Prevent Drowning within Australia, Raise Awareness of the risks of Drowning, especially in Children under the age of five and to provide the necessary support to families
OBJECTIVES
To Prevent Drowning and Raise Awareness in Australia to the tragedies of Drowning and support families
Educate children in daycares, preschool, primary and high school regarding their personal water safety and the dangers of water sources
Create and Implement the National Drowning Prevention, Awareness & Memorial Day on the 4th of October each year
Provide assistance to schools and other education facilities to become fully resourced to provide CPR and First Aid qualifications for all students
To legislate that all pool owners be trained, certified and up to date in CPR as part of their pool compliance
To support any and all programs which teach water safety in particular toddlers and young children. Especially in rural areas where the emergency services response time is much greater
To implement legislation in all sections of government in Australia regarding water sources and pool ownership compliance to ensure all possible measures to prevent drownings carry the force of the law
To have greater access to statistical information for drownings & near drownings
To implement, design and found a National Rural Swimming program, safety locks and other such devices for Water safety
